🔬TODAY’S BREAKTHROUGH
A new study reveals how industrial trans fats accelerate cellular aging, linking a common dietary fat to senescence and chronic inflammation.
The Discovery:
Researchers found that elaidic acid (EA), the most abundant industrial trans-fatty acid, integrates into cell membranes, disrupts lipid rafts, and amplifies IL-1 receptor signaling. This drives the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), fueling inflammation in both human cells and mouse livers.
The Science:
Unique effect: Unlike oleic acid (cis isomer), elaidic acid triggered senescence in human fibroblasts.
Mechanism: EA altered lipid raft composition, increasing sensitivity to IL-1R signaling and activating NF-κB pathways.
SASP activation: Senescent cells released higher levels of inflammatory cytokines, intensifying local tissue damage.
Mouse model: In a fatty liver disease model, EA consumption increased senescence markers and inflammatory gene expression, worsening disease progression.
Implication: Industrial trans fats directly accelerate aging at the cellular level, beyond their known metabolic harms.
Your Action:
Eliminate industrial trans fats from your diet by avoiding foods with partially hydrogenated oils.
Favor whole, unprocessed foods and include anti-inflammatory fats like omega-3s from fish, nuts, and seeds to protect cellular health.
Bottom Line:
Industrial trans fats don’t just harm the heart, they actively drive cellular aging and inflammation.

How 433 Investors Unlocked 400X Return Potential
Institutional investors back startups to unlock outsized returns. Regular investors have to wait. But not anymore. Thanks to regulatory updates, some companies are doing things differently.
Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 regular people invested an average of $2,730. Today? They got a 400X buyout offer from the company, as Revolut’s valuation increased 89,900% in the same timeframe.
Founded by a former Zillow exec, Pacaso’s co-ownership tech reshapes the $1.3T vacation home market. They’ve earned $110M+ in gross profit to date, including 41% YoY growth in 2024 alone. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.
The same institutional investors behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay backed Pacaso. And you can join them. But not for long. Pacaso’s investment opportunity ends September 18.
